Xiaojia + Jing

On a sunny May morning, Xiaojia and Jing began their wedding day with a traditional tea ceremony with their families, before being whisked away to a traditionally Vancouver location for photos: the beach. These Vancouver wedding videographers got some great footage of them and their wedding party as they dodged runners from that morning’s Vancouver marathon to cross the road and walk together under a perfectly sunny sky, along the water.

Xiaojia and Jing’s story begins on a European vacation where they met as part of the same travel group. They enjoyed each other’s company on their trip and kept in touch afterwards, until fate found them both studying in the UK. This meant they could frequently get together and before too long Xiaojia and Jing had fallen in love. England is also where Jing proposed.

Xiaojia and Jing were married at The Celebration Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth Park, surrounded by their family and friends. The beauty of the gardens at Queen Elizabeth Park was brought inside the ceremony space by the stunning orchid and crystal arrangements created for Xiaojia and Jing by Kathleen Chiu at Proline. Keeping with their wedding colour of pale purple, Key Events & Weddings supplied beautiful linens and decorations for the festivities.

The crystals and orchids were repeated at the reception venue, complemented by soaring views of Vancouver from the dining room at Season’s in the Park. Guests enjoyed a beautiful lunch and were treated to a champagne tower after Xiaojia and Jing cut their wedding cake.

We love capturing Vancouver wedding videography that shows the city at its finest and from the views down at the beach to the city sparkling in the distance during lunch, this wedding had it all. Thank you so much for sharing your special day with us, Xiaojia and Jing! Congratulations!

Xue and Jayson’s wedding day began with tradition: Jayson and his groomsmen had to complete a number of tasks set by the bridal party before he could see his bride. These Vancouver wedding videographers got some hilarious footage of the brave groom and his friends, and of the girls as they prepared the challenges. Xue and Jayson then had a traditional tea ceremony with their families before Xue changed into her white wedding gown.
 
Married on a perfect October day at Corpus Christi Church the giant smiles we captured in our wedding videography show how full of joy and love everyone was. After a heartwarming ceremony, a fun-filled reception was held at the Kirin Starlight Restaurant in New Westminster. The guests enjoyed a delicious meal before dancing the night away in celebration.
 
From their first meeting at a volleyball game through mutual friends, Xue and Jayson’s love has blossomed into something lasting and true. This couple treasures the time they spend together, and values the respect and independence they offer each other. They are a perfect match and we couldn’t be happier to have shared in their wedding day. Enjoy your adventures, Xue and Jayson!

 
Cactus and Winnie’s wedding day started bright and early with the groomsmen having to complete challenges set for them by the bridesmaids before Cactus was allowed to see his bride. Our wedding videography captured some embarrassing moments, but it was a lot of fun and everyone was in great spirits. Cactus and Winnie then participated in a traditional tea ceremony at each of their parents’ homes before setting out into the gorgeous day to take photos and get some footage with us.

Upon meeting at a volunteer event in Burnaby, Winnie and Cactus were drawn to each other and began their lifelong relationship simply by getting to know each other. They soon realized they were perfect together: Cactus thinks Winnie is the kindest person he has ever met and that her positive spirit makes everyone around her happy, while Winnie thinks Cactus is patient with her and makes her feel such security and trust.

Winnie jokes that Cactus isn’t really a romantic, although he tries hard to be, but these Vancouver wedding videographers think his proposal sounds extremely romantic! Cactus had been away for a year, working in Taiwan, and when he returned he took Winnie to Jericho beach. Winnie was a little suspicious because Cactus was wearing a backpack, but she played along and they strolled from Jericho over to Spanish Banks. When they sat down on one of the logs, Cactus pulled a box from his backpack that contained one thousand origami hearts he had folded for Winnie while he was away from her. While Winnie was distracted by the hearts, Cactus pulled the ring out from his jacket pocket, knelt down in the sand, and asked her to be his wife.
 
These two were married at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in a morning ceremony, followed by an afternoon reception at the church. The groom’s band played a few songs and the guests enjoyed being silly in the photobooth by imageCube Photobooth. Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating this couple.
 
Our wedding videography captured a great deal of joy and love on this day and we’re thrilled to have been a part of it. Enjoy your lives together, Winnie and Cactus!

 
Tha and Jason are such a fun-loving couple, it really shines through in the wedding videography we captured of their day. A little rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of these two or their wedding party, as they exchanged vows at the beautiful Celebration Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth Park in the morning, before hosting their reception in Richmond at the Riverside Grand Ballroom.

The bride’s vision for her day was “winter wonderland meets couture” and some wonderful vendors helped her achieve this. Flowers were by Proline and Raymon’s Decor transformed their venue so that it sparkled. A beautiful snowflake ice sculpture by Ice Decor graced the dessert table and during the first dance, a snow machine courtesy of Thomas FX provided a little extra winter magic.

 
2 Scoops Productions supplied limousine and DJ services for the celebration, and these Vancouver wedding videographers got some awesome footage of people young and old giving it their all on the dance floor. Tomasz Wagner at Mananetwork photographed the day, and the classic white wedding cake by Harmony Cakes was delicious. Guests enjoyed experimenting with the photo booth by PixelBooth, which provided some informality and silliness to match the laidback groom and his energetic wife.

 
Tha and Jason just love to share a laugh and you can see from our trailer that their wedding party are as lively as they are. Everyone had a great time dancing and playing along with us so that our wedding videography turned out as fun-filled as this day was. A sparkling day for a sparkling couple. Jocelyn + Jeff Trailer

Longtime lovebirds Jocelyn and Jeff met over ten years ago, introduced by a mutual friend. At Jeff’s birthday party in 2010 he surprised Jocelyn after blowing out the candles on his birthday cake by getting down on one knee, in front of their family and friends, and proposing. So it was natural that Jocelyn and Jeff would continue the birthday tradition and choose Jocelyn’s birthday for their wedding day.

It’s always a treat to shoot at Swan-E-Set Resort and Country Club and Jocelyn and Jeff’s day was especially exciting for us as Vancouver wedding videographers: Vancouver weather in February can be awful, but the sun shone for them on their day. Bright winter light filtered through the trees and windows surrounding their celebration, making the images we captured with our wedding videography absolutely glow. The ladies had their hair and make-up done at the bride’s parent’s house by Jayne Marie before being picked up by Ultimate Limousine and whisked away to the ceremony. Carrying flowers by Oceana Florists that were almost as beautiful as they were, Jocelyn and her bridesmaids had a great time taking photos with Damara Moe Photography and mugging for our cameras.

The meal was amazing and the dancing was kicked off by the bride and groom sharing a dance with their grandparents. Garry Robertson DJ Services kept the party going until late at night. A wonderful winter’s day for a wonderful couple. Congratulations, Jocelyn and Jeff!

Jenny and Ali’s wedding day was truly an international affair with guests in attendance from Toronto, Atlanta, and even Pakistan! Held at Cecil Green Park House at the University of British Columbia on a lovely spring day, the love between these two was wonderful to see.

Jenny and Ali’s day began with a traditional tea ceremony at the groom’s house in Surrey. After the ceremony, Jenny and Ali had a great time taking photographs with their talented photographer Carmen Schmid while we captured some beautiful wedding videography of everyone enjoying themselves.

The view from Jenny and Ali’s venue was absolutely stunning and such a treat for us as Vancouver wedding videographers. It doesn’t get much more Vancouver than the ocean and the mountains in the background of a gorgeous day like this one. Inside, Lori L Fraser Signature Events created a space that was warm and inviting, and complemented the existing character of the house.

After a delicious buffet dinner and heartwarming speeches, everyone danced the night away in celebration. We got to show off all the hard work of the day’s wedding videography by screening our same-day edit late in the evening. What a beautiful day. We couldn’t be happier for you, Jenny and Ali!

Anna and Brian’s romance began during their sophomore year at Seattle Pacific University. They were both in the same aptly titled class: Relationship Development. A month after meeting they shared breakfast on a beach and knew something special was happening. Just one week after officially beginning to date, Brian took Anna home with him for Thanksgiving and the rest, as it goes, is history.
Anna and Brian describe themselves as a fun-loving, adventure-seeking couple and our wedding videography of their beautiful day shows them to be just that. Completely undeterred by the rain, Anna and Brian instead rejoiced in it and cared only that they were being married, surrounded by their family and friends.
 
From their first date on the beach, to Brian’s proposal along the Kirkland waterfront on a sunny August day, being outside has been an important part of their life together. Their choice to be married in the gardens at Robinswood House, followed by a waffle bar brunch is a perfect expression of their life together.
 
For these Vancouver wedding videographers, the spirit of love and support that surrounded this day was delightful to behold. We adore couples that aren’t worried about the challenges a little rain can bring and the joy emanating from everyone at this wedding more than made up for a little lack of sunshine.
